RSAC 24: May 6th
Our highlight for the first day of RSA Conference 2024 was the fundamental role of cybersecurity startups and technological innovations in shaping the future of the sector. The panels brought valuable insights into current trends and challenges facing the industry.
Insights from the Panels
The speakers emphasized the critical need for companies to develop a deep understanding of the problems faced by customers in order to create truly effective solutions.
This involves not only focusing on technology, but also on the composition of multidisciplinary teams with complementary skills, which are essential for successful implementations.
Another point highlighted was the change in the investment landscape for cybersecurity startups in 2023, with a decrease in the high contributions of previous years.
However, the demand for robust solutions remains high, as evidenced by the alarming figure of 60 billion attempted cyber attacks recorded in Brazil alone last year.
Innovation SandBox
In the innovation section, the 19th edition of the RSAC Innovation SandBox presented the 10 finalist companies and their innovative technologies.
Solutions to address real cybersecurity challenges, such as: identity management and access to workloads, data security for AI, data security, autonomous security operations, adoption of generative AI, cloud investigation, cloud access governance, behavioral detection and response, deepfake detection and exploit and vulnerability intelligence.
Two solutions presented caught our attention, one of which focused on detecting deepfakes, which was the winner Reality Defender, and the other was Harmonic Security, which focused on the challenge related to data protection due to the potential increased risk with the adoption of generative AI.
The discussion was interesting because there are already technologies capable of implementing what these innovations propose, but from different perspectives.
RSAC 24: May 7th
On the second day of RSA Conference 2024, Eval Digital had the privilege of talking to Rafael Narezzi, curator of the Cyber Security Summit.
